As we move into a new golfing season in India, we are pleased to announce that as part of the 10th Anniversary of the Prestige Masters Series in 2024 we will be offering the overall winner of the Masters Series a trip to the 2025 Masters Tournament in Augusta Georgia with tournament tickets, flights and accommodation.
No other golf club in Bangalore has a tournament that offers such a prestigious prize for the winner.
The six qualifying legs begin on Saturday May 18th with one leg every month after that. The final will be held on Saturday 23rd November with the top 10 players from each qualifying leg making their way to the final for a chance to win a trip to the 2025 Masters.
Being continuously ranked as India’s best golf course from our Industry peers the Prestige Golfshire Club is without a doubt the best golf club in Bangalore.
In April of 2024 the clubhouse will undergo a phased renovation that will see the clubhouse be the jewel in the crown of clubhouses at a golf club in Bangalore.
Golf clubs in Bangalore extend really to three eighteen-hole clubs only, Prestige Golfshire Club, Bangalore Golf Club and KGA. On the outskirts of the city, there are also Clover Greens and Zion Hills but can be harder to get to in the ever-increasing Bangalore traffic.
There is also the Prestige Augusta Golf Club which is a 12-hole executive golf club located just 25 minutes from the city centre. This 12 hole course is an ideal facility for the beginner or the Senior golfer looking for an enjoyable round and easy walk. This is the only such golf club in Bangalore designed in this manner. A must play for all golf enthusiasts.
In 2021 Bangalore lost one of the newest clubs in the region with the closure of the Eagleton Golf Club which has put demand on all of the golf clubs in Bangalore.
With the demand for golf growing in Karnataka it is important that more opportunities open up for grassroots golf and introductory entry-level training facilities such as Driving Ranges and Golf Simulators that will introduce more players to the game in India.
Golf clubs in Bangalore are mostly operating at capacity and the demand for tee times is very high. Of the three major clubs mentioned above, available tee times on weekends are a rarity. Golf clubs in Bangalore are doing all they can to accommodate the demand on access to their courses but another platform such as Golf Studios will inevitably be the entry level for most budding golfers in the future as the golf clubs in Bangalore have very little space for recreational golfers.
There are currently no future plans for more golf clubs in Bangalore and with the current water situation and high demand for land it is unlikely we will see any future plans for golf clubs in Bangalore for some time.
With new Golf Studios opening up in Whitefield and Indiranagar the need for golf clubs in Bangalore will increase as those using the studios will naturally want to experience the real thing and smell the grass and breathe the fresh air and feel the wind in their hair, none of which can be achieved in a studio surrounding. However, the Golf Studios are a necessity and a great way to not only introduce players to the game but also make golf more fun and give an overall entertainment aspect to the non-golfer.
