    About 'Prestige Masters Series 2015'
In recognition of the numerous amateur golfers in the city, Faiz Rezwan of the Prestige Group conceptualized 'The Prestige Masters Series 2015', a series of golf tournaments, which began in June 2015. The first of its kind in the city, this tournament aimed to promote amateur golf in Bangalore and South India, while breeding champions for the future. The par 72 Bob Hunt design proved a test even for the most seasoned amateur golfer.

The format of the tournament was to have 10 winners each month. These winners (who won between June and October 2015) then competed against each other at the Grand Finale. The event followed a 'Pay and Play' format. A nominal sum was allotted for registrations as the idea was to encourage more people to participate, in order to build a strong golfing community in Bangalore and make the game more accessible and enjoyable for everyone. The tournament witnessed overwhelming success with many enthusiastic golfers signing up for it over the last 5 months.

Faiz Rezwan, Executive Director, Contracts & Purchase, Prestige Group said, "Over the last decade, Bangalore has grown to become one of the fastest growing metros in India with a bustling cosmopolitan population, which has resulted from a continuous migration of people from different parts of the country and the world. Coupled with this, is the establishment of the city as the IT and Technology capital of India, apart from emerging as the R&D hub for certain sectors. The city also has the 3rd highest HNI population in the country. As a result, Bangalore is home to several high-profile executives as well as numerous expats. Many of these people are 2nd generation golfers who consider golfing as both de-stressing as well as a fitness regime. However, given the large number of golfers in Bangalore, the city's golf courses have always been limited to a few good ones. Prestige Golfshire, which boasts of a Bob Hunt 18-hole championship golf course, managed by Troon Golf, is undoubtedly one of the best in India today.

We hope to promote amateur golf in South India with this initiative, and given the overwhelming response that we have received, not just from people in Bangalore but from across the country, we have definitely been successful in our enterprise. "

"As we conclude the series, I have been encouraged by the enthusiastic participation and the huge success of the event to host many more such events in the future." he added.

Partners for the event included Volvo, Frederique Constant, Oakley, Prestige The Man Store, Aloft Bengaluru Cessna Business Park, Mizuno, Golftripz, Windstar Holidays, Kingfisher Packaged Drinking Water and Wild Vitamin Water.
